Media Screen
Inspired by modern day digital billboards and media screens (see references below), we decided to add a screen to the corner billboard in the set extension. Inspired primarily by the Nexen media wall which showcases digital and CG artwork, digital artwork was created using volumes and point advection.
To achieve this effect, a volume VOP with curl noise creates an advection field. Points are sourced from a box volume and then animated through the advection field using a SOP solver. To polish off the effect, a virtual room, glass, and a neon sign were added to the screen to replicate the faked 3D spaces seen in the reference material. The color of the volume trails is driven by the advection field as well.

Hologram Billboards
Based on some of the teams initial references, a variety of hologram billboards were created. Each billboard uses a point clouds for the screen and polylines for the projection source. Glitch animations were added through attribute randomization for the particle position and color, then limited to keyed groups to control timing and position.
